Can Cats Eat Raspberries?

A box of delicious raspberries lying in a basket, may not take long to attract your kitty’s attention. Though it might differ from one cat to the other, the red, vibrant color of the fruit, also its fresh aroma, might attract them towards it.

Well, before you panic seeing your cat attacking some raspberries, it would relieve you to know that they are safe for your cat when given in small numbers once in a while.

Raspberries contain a variety of important nutrients, such as vitamin C, A and K, potassium, magnesium, manganese, calcium, dietary fiber, all of which are beneficial for both humans and cats. By giving your cat occasionally a few raspberries you can help your cat’s digestive processes, their ability to fend off chronic disease, and overall cardiovascular and metabolic health.

You should only give your cat only a small sample of raspberries, typically only 1 or 2 per serving. Giving her more could result in a number of side effects!
